The Rhinox stainless steel pipe fitting installation systems include a range of premium press fittings provided with a black EPDM sealing ring (ethylene-propylene-diene) rubber. Following industry standards, all Rhinox couplings are built with material coded 1.4404 / AISI 316L and 1.4408 (fittings with threaded ends). The material coded 1.4404 / AISI 316L features an enhanced molybdenum content of 2.3% molybdenum and low carbon content, less than the standard value of 1.4401. Thus, not only is the material superior in quality, but it is also much more corrosion resistant.

Seal deformation

The o-ring is deformed in a predetermined way during the pressing operation, ensuring permanent fittings and a high level of safety.

 

Material's surface

A system's tightness depends on its roughness coefficients, which are much lower than those prescribed limitations by the current regulations. For optimal sliding and perfect gasket alignment, all weld seams are mechanically refinished.

 

Geometry of beads

The permanent sealing of the whole system is accomplished with the help of a net weld bead on the gasket surface, which improves corrosion resistance.

 

Interlocking mechanisms

The operating pressure can be raised to 2.5 MPa (25bar) and beyond. The highly mechanized nature of the material allows for a broad range of advanced applications.

Fittings made of Rhinox reduce turbulence in the flow of the medium by causing minimal deformation of the tubes they are connected to and reducing internal distortion.

Weld seams are created with a homogeneous material structure by a special thermal treatment. Therefore, the fittings and pipes behave in unison when they are under pressing operation.
